Carolyn Light Ph.D., R.N. is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, currently in private practice. She specializes in serving the needs of individuals and families in the areas of personal development, relationships, psychoeducational assessment, health concerns, and women's issues. She also facilitates group therapy and instructional classes in parent education. Dr. Light spends a large portion of her time researching and assessing psychological and medical concerns.

Private Practice - Providing individual and family psychotherapy, counseling, and education to adults and children. Psychological and psycho educational assessment services.


University of California, San Diego Extension Instructor - Specialized Certificate in Gifted and Talented Education.
 

University of California, San Diego Advisory Board Member - Professional Certificate in Educational Therapy program.


Consulting GATE Psychologist, San Diego City Schools - Psychological and psychoeducational assessment. Research in evaluative scoring, data analysis, and program development. Participation in regional, state, and national GATE conferences and associations.


College Counseling Center, USIU - Individual, couple, and family counseling and group therapy for graduate and undergraduate students in university setting.


Psychoneuroimmunologist - Mind-Body Psychology consultation to patients being treated for immune-deficiency diseases. Therapeutic and psychoeducational therapy for patients and families. Support and grief work with caregivers and family members.
